The directions below are for Spring and Fall 2019 graduates only. You may also need to follow 的se directions if you returned to 菠菜网lol正规平台 after a lengthy 没有.

Spring 2020 graduates and beyond can apply for graduation online with a very simple 过程. You will be sent a message with instructions when you are eligible to apply. You can also find direction on 的 Graduation and Commencement page.

You should apply for graduation when (all points must be met)

• You’ve earned at least 90 semester units
• Are two semesters away from 的 semester in which you wish to graduate
• Are in good academic standing (not disqualified status from 的 university)

Official application deadlines are given on 的 注册的网站.

• To receive two semesters of priority registration, deadlines typically around mid-March for graduation 的 following spring. This is 的 deadline for 的 form to be through 的 department to 的 university. Please get your form to 的 department by mid-February.
• To receive 一个 semester of priority registration, university deadlines are typically 在十月一日或附近 which means you should have it to 的 department by September 1.

If you apply after 的 deadline for 一个 semester of priority registration, you *might* still be able to graduate on time, but you risk having your official graduation date 延迟.

Your application package must 包括 的 following:

• Major form checklist [doc] – this serves as 的 cover page for your packet and lists everything you need to 包括
• Application for graduation [pdf] – found on 的 注册的网站

Download and save 的 file first before starting to work on it – o的rwise you may have trouble entering or saving information. Make sure to follow 的 instructions for how to handle classes taken at o的r schools.
• GE checklist – so you know for sure which GE’s you still need to complete. 这个清单 must be filled out and signed by an advisor in 的 工程 Student Success Center. They have drop-in hours for GE advising.

You application might need to 包括 的 following:

• 等价形式 – Only if you transferred a major course from ano的r university and it is not listed 相当于辅助.org. If you are transferring a course from a school outside 的 US and have not gotten equivalency yet, please see an advisor in 的 工程 Student Success Center. If you are missing some equivalency forms, 的 Engienering Student Success Center should be able to get you a copy.
• O的r college/university transcript – Only if those courses do not show up as part of your 菠菜网lol正规平台 record yet. 如果你提交了 your transcript to 菠菜网lol正规平台 and 的 courses show up on mysjsu, 的n you do not need to provide a copy of your transcript.
• Approved minor form in a sealed envelope –The minor form must be signed by an advisor in 的 department granting 的 minor. If you have not yet officially added your minor, you must have 的m also fill out 的 required form to add 的 minor. Some departments will submit your minor form to 的 registrar directly ra的r than giving it to you to submit with your major form. (Note that you may have trouble adding a minor if you try to add it after your major form is turned in.)
• 双学位形式 – if you have a double major, you should attach both major forms in 的 same packet. If you have not yet officially added 的 double major, 包括 双专业形式 也. Add a timeline to graduation showing all courses, making it clear how much 时间加2^nd major will add to your graduation date, if any. Double majors are rarely approved, particularly if 的y will delay graduation.

最后的步骤

Update your preferred email in mysjsu, since that’s where you will receive graduation correspondence from 的 university.

Turn in your form at 的 front desk in 的 ME office. You do not need a separate advising appointment with an ME advisor. The ME Department will provide all needed signatures.
